Deborah Myhill - Counsellor & Psychotherapist
BACP Registered Practitioner
UKRC Reg. Ind. Counsellor

Therapy offers the opportunity, within a supportive relationship, to explore a difficulty or crisis, which may result in changes in the way you feel, think and behave. The aim is to increase self-awareness and help you discover your own answer. My practice is based on the belief that everyone has the capacity to develop their own potential and work towards living in a more satisfying and resourceful way.

Joan Bagnall – Counsellor/Psychotherapist
MBACP (Accred)
UKCP Registered Psychotherapist

All of us encounter challenges of a personal or emotional kind in our lives. Often these centre on relationships, but may also arise from physical illness, loss, work, sexuality, abuse and low self-esteem. Such problems often result in anxiety, depression or other mental health issues.

Joan has counseled people with these and similar problems for over twenty years, providing support in a confidential and non-judgemental relationship where feelings can be explored and opportunities identified. Her approach makes use of a range of theories and techniques selected according to individuals’ needs. Her style is non-directive, but aims to facilitate self-understanding as clients seek solutions to their problems and move on to more fulfilling lives.

Esté Grobler - Psychologist
HPC Registered Practitioner Psychologist
BPS Chartered Counselling Psychologist
BACP Member

Esté has been a counselling psychologist since 2001.  She has an integrative approach which means she draws from various theories to find an approach and techniques that could be helpful to you at a specific time.  She provides individual psychotherapy and couples counselling to adults; and play therapy to children.

Her initial training in counselling psychology included cognitive and behavioural therapies, such as CBT; psychoanalytic therapy; and humanistic therapies, such as person-centered therapy, Gestalt therapy, and Transactional Analysis (TA).  Esté also has a masters degree in somatic psychology. This field of psychology focuses on the body as an integral part of the whole being that needs to be taken into account in the psychotherapeutic setting.  Mindfulness is used to explore the breath, physical sensations and movement to illuminate the experiences of the body to the same extent as cognitive and emotional processes.

Jeanette Brazier – BA (Hons) Counsellor

Jeanette is a qualified counsellor with 10 years experience. She began working as a therapist in a youth counselling service. Since then she has worked in an NHS community service for over 8 years, with clients who present with substance misuse problems and have often experienced a high level of abuse and trauma in their lives. She continues to work with this client group, providing one to one counselling and delivering group work programmes.

She has a particular interest in attachment and loss and working with sexual minority groups. She also works with relationship problems, low self esteem, self development, depression, anxiety and abuse.

Jeanette has previously taught an ‘Introduction to Counselling course’ and been a guest tutor on a diploma course. She is currently involved in teaching student counsellors who wish to volunteer in a drug and alcohol service.

Christine Wells- Psychotherapist BA, PGCE, MSc, MBACP, IAP

'You cannot see yourself on your own’ and it is the working together as client and therapist that can enable change. As an integrative psychotherapist, I may employ psychodynamic, existential and sometimes person-centred approaches, tailoring the sessions for each individual client. However, strong evidence suggests the therapeutic relationship is the most important cog in the counselling wheel whatever the model. Each individual story is witnessed respectfully in a non-judgemental and empathetic context. Trust may be fostered; the client empowered to make their own choices, or to see alternative ways of understanding deep-rooted issues. The client needs to feel heard and offered a safe place where they can speak, in order to shift past patterns.

Christine is an experienced psychotherapist and counsellor who has specialised for many years in working with adolescents and young people as a school and college counsellor. She also has an interest in working with the elderly where she has set up counselling services locally. Currently, she practises at Holistic Health, alongside her practices in West Byfleet and Wimbledon; she also counsels at an affordable counselling agency and in a sixth form college. She is on an Advanced Practitioner programme in Psychotherapy & Counselling. She has specialised in working with issues of identity, self-harm, abuse and destructive patterns; integrating phototherapy which may access the client’s inner world more immediately than words.

Individual counselling and psychotherapy sessions of 50 minutes.
Fee: £45.00- £50.00 with concessions for students and senior citizens
