Massage is a technique derived from many cultures throughout history and is defined as “the manipulation of soft tissue for therapeutic purposes'. It is a natural, non-invasive therapy which promotes physiological and psychological well-being.

The physiological benefits are many but in particular massage can:

Improve circulation
Aid digestion
Promote neural communication
Tone tired muscles
Reduce aches and stiffness
Eliminate toxins via lymphatic drainage
Better skin quality

The psychological effects of massage are:

Soothing
Calming
Relaxing

all of which reduce stress. It is worth bearing in mind that 75% of disease is believed to be related to stress.

Swedish massage is traditionally performed using talcum powder, however for maximum benefit Grapeseed or Sweet Almond Oil is used.

The first treatment begins with a general health assessment to ascertain your well-being and any particular conditions you wish to be addressed. (Please allow an extra 10 minutes for your initial consultation).

Whether you choose a massage to soothe and relax or to stimulate and invigorate, the treatment is tailor - made to your requirements and your comfort and modesty are of the utmost importance.
